Cast acrylic is made in individual molds, giving it superior optical clarity, chemical resistance, and easier machinability. Extruded acrylic is continuously produced and is generally more affordable but may have slightly lower tolerances.
Yes. Thin acrylic (1/8") can be scored and snapped. For thicker sheets or curved cuts, use a jigsaw, circular saw with a fine-tooth blade, or a CNC/laser cutter. Always keep the protective masking on until you're done.
Use a soft microfiber cloth with warm water and a drop of mild dish soap. Avoid paper towels, Windex, or ammonia-based cleaners. For stubborn marks, use a plastic polish or Novus #1 cleaner.
1/8" (3mm) is ideal for picture frames, small signage, and light-duty covers. 1/4" (6mm) is better for shelves, sneeze guards, machine guards, and anything requiring structural rigidity.
Yes — cast acrylic inherently filters UV light and will not yellow or degrade with sun exposure, making it suitable for outdoor signage, skylights, and greenhouse panels.
We cut to ±1/16" tolerance on our CNC routing equipment. Edges are clean-cut; flame-polishing is available on request for a crystal-clear edge finish.
